The World of the Crimson Moon
Crimson Moon takes place in Gildenarch, a city under siege from the Hellgrowth and its masters. The lore, enemies and boss roster are documented by the official community wiki: foes split into Vessels, powerful district bosses of immense Soul Energy, and the Dead Gods, ancient entities bound to mysterious artifacts known as Abraxas Stones.
You play a Nephilim, the human-angel hybrid forged to defend humanity. Every run starts at Sanctus Clypeus, pushes through the Wards, and ends after three missions and a World Boss, if your life pool holds out.
Combat & Builds
There are no classes. Every Nephilim equips nine pieces of gear: four pieces of armour, two trinkets, a one-handed weapon with shield, and a two-handed weapon. Weapons carry Weapon Arts, special combat abilities with their own cooldowns, and different equipment can share the same Weapon Art.
Boons shape each run: they can increase damage, debuff enemies, restore health, regenerate flasks or reward aggressive play. You choose a temporary Boon at Nexus Gates between Wards, and Lore Scrolls handed to Mereda unlock Boons permanently. Loot becomes permanent through Purify, which unlocks items at Common quality, and Gajov upgrades gear to raise its minimum quality.
